Are Saudi Scientists About to Discover a Cure for COVID-19?
According to the president of King Abdulaziz University, Dr. Abdulrahman AlYubi, that Saudi scientists were able to isolate the Coronavirus in their laboratories in King Fahad Research Center that is under the supervision of the University as a procedure to look for a vaccine cure.
In an interpretation of Saudi TV show, Dr. AlYubi has said: “once the vaccine is prepared, it will be tested on animals, and then on human beings after getting the approval from the higher authorities” He added: “in a previous time, we were able to develop a cure for The MERS-CoV that appeared in 2012.”
The president of KAU has illustrated that the KFRC research center is containing multiple specialized units where one of them is The Virus Unit. He wrapped up his talk by wishing all the best and success for the Saudi Researchers and Scientists to find a cure for this disease.
