Beyond Automation: HUMAIN, EY Build Saudi Arabia’s AI-Native Business Model
Saudi Arabia’s AI ambitions are rapidly moving from infrastructure and technology development into the way businesses actually operate.
The latest milestone comes through an expanded cooperation between HUMAIN and EY MENA, which are collaborating to develop what they label as the Kingdom’s first AI-native business process outsourcing service.
A New AI Model
The planned service will seamlessly blend HUMAIN’s AI infrastructure and agentic AI platform with EY’s expertise across industries and business functions, bringing together technology, professional services and commercialization capabilities under one model.
At a broader level, the initiative reflects a dramatic shift in Saudi Arabia’s economic strategy, where digital capabilities and advanced technologies are emerging as significant drivers of growth alongside continuous efforts to diversify the Saudi economy and cut off oil dependency.
Through HUMAIN, the Public Investment Fund (PIF) is also seeking to establish a stronger domestic presence across the AI value chain, in line with the Saudi Vision 2030.
AI Rebuilds Business Processes
More boldly, the proposed service would bring intelligent agents, automation and advanced analytics together with human expertise across integrated operating models.
The companies, therefore, are setting the stage for ambitions that extend beyond automating individual tasks: embedding AI across entire business processes and reshaping how organizations operate.
For Tareq Amin, CEO of Humain, the shift represents a broader transformation in enterprise capabilities, claiming that AI is redefining not only how organizations operate but also what they can achieve.
He said the collaboration with EY seeks to create a new operating model in which “intelligent agents, automation, and human expertise work as one,” helping organizations move faster, improve decision-making and unlock new sources of value.
What Happens When AI Enters Core Functions?
Remarkably, the partnership divides the model across two complementary roles. HUMAIN will provide the underlying technologies, infrastructure and agentic AI ecosystem.
Meanwhile EY will bring its expertise across finance, audit, tax and advisory services and support the development and commercialization of HUMAIN’s solutions.
Both companies envision a model that can simplify operations and enhance productivity without pushing organizations to replace the technology investments they already have in place.
The technological foundation for that approach is HUMAIN ONE, HUMAIN’s enterprise AI platform.
Instead of limiting AI to individual applications, the platform is designed to integrate automation and agentic workflows into core business functions, from procurement and workforce management to compliance.
Building on the 2025 Foundation
The expanded collaboration follows an agreement announced in November 2025, when EY began exploring the integration of its AI solutions into HUMAIN ONE.
The initial scope featured key business functions, from recruitment, skills development and tax and zakat filings to accounting, internal audit, risk management, regulatory compliance, corporate development and financial due diligence.
That foundation is supported by ALLAM, an Arabic multimodal large language model powering HUMAIN ONE and adding an Arabic-focused layer to the platform’s enterprise AI capabilities.
When the collaboration was first announced, the companies said solutions developed through the partnership would initially target Saudi Arabia’s public and private sectors, with the potential for wider international deployment.
Launched by the Public Investment Fund in May 2025, the company was established to build capabilities across the AI value chain from data centers and infrastructure to cloud technologies, advanced models and AI solutions.
HUMAIN forms part of PIF’s wider drive to build domestic technology capabilities and strengthen Saudi Arabia’s digital economy.
