Arab Parliament: Saudi Arabia Plays Pivotal Role to Boost Joint Arab Action
The Speaker of the Arab Parliament, Adel bin Abdulrahman Al-Asoomi, stated that Saudi Arabia plays a pivotal and significant role in boosting joint Arab action, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Al-Asoomi commended the Kingdom’s continued efforts to maintain and enhance security and stability of the region.
This was part of the speaker’s statement after he received Saudi Arabia’s Permanent Representative to the Arab League, Ambassador Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Matar, on Thursday in Cairo.
Al-Asoomi highlighted the noble stances of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, concerning various issues in the region, notably the Palestinian cause, praising his efforts to stop the brutal Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.
Furthermore, he expressed great delight at meeting Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and presenting His Highness with the Leader’s Medal, the highest medal granted by the Arab Parliament to Arab leaders.
The medal represents an honorable recognition from the Arab people for his pioneering role in defending Arab issues and promoting joint Arab action.
Bin Salman continues to work towards unifying visions and promoting security, stability, and peace in the region to end its crises. With a wise vision, he aims to fulfill the aspirations of the Arab people for strong and sustainable development.
In the same context, Ambassador Al-Matar stressed the Kingdom’s unwavering support for the Arab Parliament, underscoring its role in supporting and strengthening Arab parliamentary diplomacy in order to resolve Arab issues.
