An extraordinary winter spectacle is coming to Saudi Arabia as AlUla Desert Polo is set to take place on January 16-17, 2026.
As part of the Winter at Tantora Festival, the unique event brings players from around the world, blending world-class horsemanship with high-fashion luxury in the heart of AlUla’s golden desert.
Organized by the Royal Commission for AlUla and the Saudi Polo Federation, AlUla Desert Polo takes place at the Mohammed Yousuf Naghi Equestrian Village, against the captivating backdrop of AlUla’s golden sands, distinctive canyons and the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Hegra.
It is the world’s first modern polo tournament to be staged in a desert environment. The exceptional sports event features top international polo players competing in an adrenaline-packed game.
The event offers two ticket categories, in addition to a special Polo Players Circle Experience, which provides a special field access, a chance to meet the players, take photos, and receive event souvenirs.
Moreover, AlUla Desert Polo offers a curated blend of live music, family-friendly entertainment, dedicated children zone and interactive experiences, complemented by luxury pop-up retail stores and gourmet food to create an all-encompassing lifestyle event.
