Al-Rajhi Launches INA 2024 Non-Profit Sector Exhibition

Yesterday in Riyadh, Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi, Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Center for the Development of the Non-Profit Sector, inaugurated the activities of the “INA 2024” International Exhibition for the Non-Profit Sector.

The exhibition is under the slogan “Effective Partnerships… for Sustainable Development Goals”, which continues for three days.

During the opening speech, the Minister praised the volunteer achievements, with the number of volunteers reaching about 830,000 by the end of 2023. He also noted that work is underway to achieve the target number of volunteers in 2030 to 2025, which is one million volunteers.

Non-profit organizations also grew in the first quarter of this year to 4,833 organizations. This indicates that the participation of the non-profit sector in the gross domestic product amounted to about 0.87%. This indicates that work is being done to reach 5% by 2030.

During the first day of the exhibition, about 40 agreements were signed between government agencies and non-profit institutions and associations.

Importance of INA for Non-Profit Sector

The INA International Exhibition for the Non-Profit Sector is the first of its kind in the Kingdom.

The exhibition supports organizations and entities of the non-profit sector that work in 120 diverse fields. It also responds to the developmental needs of society and the interests of individuals.

In its second edition, 85 international organizations, governmental and private bodies in the non-profit sector are participating in the INA International Exhibition. The exhibition aims to highlight the rapid developments in the sector to achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

The exhibition serves as a platform for ongoing communication among sector workers and for fostering relationships between local and international non-profit organizations. This year, it will feature a review of the experiences and successes of participating entities, both local and international.
