Syria’s Al-Sharaa, Saudi Ministers Discuss Cooperation on FII9 Sidelines
The Syrian President, Ahmed Al-Sharaa, held separate meetings with Saudi Ministers in Riyadh, on the sidelines of the ninth edition of the Future Investment Initiative Conference (FII9), reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
On Wednesday, the Syrian President received the Saudi Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Abdullah Alswaha, at his residence in Riyadh.
During the meeting, Al-Sharaa and Alswaha explored partnership opportunities between the two countries in digital economy and entrepreneurship empowerment.

Moreover, they discussed ways to strengthen development cooperation to promote innovation in both countries and the entire region.
A day earlier, Al-Sharaa received the Saudi Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, and the Minister of State and Member of the Cabinet, Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban.
As part of the meeting, they reviewed ties between the two nations and explored avenues for further enhancing them across various fields.

In addition, the meeting discussed the prospects for economic cooperation in key sectors such as energy, industry, infrastructure, and technology, in the light of the two leaderships’ keenness to achieve economic stability in Syria and to bolster bilateral ties in a way that meets the aspirations of their peoples.
The Syrian President is on a visit to Saudi Arabia to participate in the FII9 Conference in Riyadh – a key economic platform bringing together influential leaders, investors, policymakers, CEOs, and innovators from across the world to forge the key to global prosperity, unlocking new solutions and pathways forward.
