
The Saudi informatics team achieved remarkable success at the 32nd Balkan Olympiad in Informatics (BOI 2025), held in Udine, Italy, from September 25 to October 1. The event brought together 65 students representing 17 countries.
Saudi Arabia’s delegation earned six awards in total—four bronze medals and two certificates of appreciation.
This marks the Kingdom’s third participation in the Balkan Olympiad, under the Mawhiba International Olympiad Program, organized by the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) in strategic partnership with the Ministry of Education.
With this latest achievement, Saudi Arabia has raised its overall tally in the competition to 13 international awards, including six bronze medals and seven certificates of appreciation.
