The first central exhibition of the fourth phase of the National Olympiad for Scientific Creativity “Ibdaa 2025,” organized by the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) in strategic partnership with the Ministry of Education, concluded today at the SABIC Center for Innovative Plastic Applications in Riyadh.
The Olympiad, which consists of six phases, aims to foster scientific creativity among students, discover and develop talents, and represent Saudi Arabia in international forums with innovative projects that contribute to achieving the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
The events, held from December 6 to 8, witnessed the participation of 128 students representing 10 educational districts. Additionally, they presented their scientific projects before a judging panel, which evaluated them and selected the best projects to advance to the final phase of the Olympiad.
Moreover, 480 students from middle and high school levels across various regions of the Kingdom qualified to participate in central exhibitions and training workshops held in Riyadh, Dammam, Jeddah, and Madinah from December 6 to 21.
The “Ibdaa 2025” edition achieved a local record, with 291,057 students registered from 16 educational regions and 49 educational districts. This also reflects the growing interest in empowering young talents and enhancing their capabilities.
The National Olympiad for Scientific Creativity “Ibdaa” is an annual competition based on individual scientific projects presented by students in a competitive format according to precise scientific standards. A selected group of academics and specialists electronically evaluate the projects to identify the outstanding ones for advanced stages, including international competitions such as ISEF.
