Mawhiba Extends Registration for National Olympiad for Scientific Creativity

The King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) has announced that registration for the National Olympiad for Scientific Creativity – Ibdaa 2026 will remain open until September 30. The competition, organized in partnership with the Ministry of Education, is open to intermediate and high school students across Saudi Arabia and covers 22 scientific fields.

Ibdaa is an annual competition designed to showcase individual scientific projects, which are evaluated based on established criteria and regulations. Moreover, a panel of esteemed academics and specialists reviews submissions electronically to select the most outstanding projects for advanced stages of the competition. Finalists earn the opportunity to represent Saudi Arabia at the prestigious Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) in the United States.

The previous edition, Ibdaa 2025, achieved a record-breaking 291,000 registrations from students across 16 educational regions and 49 education departments. Finally, this reflects both the passion of Saudi youth for scientific achievement and the unwaverin g commitment of Mawhiba, the Ministry of Education, and their partners to empower and develop young talent.
