Folk Maritime Services Company, a subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund (PIF), has announced the addition of three new container vessels to its fleet. Set to begin operations in June, the ships will service routes across the Red Sea, the Arabian Gulf, and the Indian subcontinent.
The new vessels—Folk Dammam (1,868 TEUs), Folk Jubail (1,118 TEUs), and Folk Yanbu (702 TEUs)—have been registered under the Saudi flag at Jeddah Islamic Port.
This expansion follows the earlier introduction of two Saudi-flagged vessels: the Jeddah Folk (1,868 TEUs) in September 2024 and the Jazan Folk (2,015 TEUs) in April 2025. With the latest additions, Folk Maritime’s operational fleet now includes eight ships, comprising five owned and three leased.
The growing fleet supports the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 goal of transforming Saudi Arabia into a global logistics hub by enhancing regional maritime connectivity.
