Saudi FM Arrives in Turkey for Gaza Contact Group’s Meeting

Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Faisal bin Farhan arrived today in Antalya, Turkey, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

The minister is set to take part in the expanded ministerial meeting of the Gaza Contact Group.

Importantly, the meeting will delve into the latest developments in the Gaza Strip and the efforts made to put an end to the Strip’s humanitarian crisis.

Established by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Arab League, the Contact Group focuses on addressing all Gaza-related issues and comprises numerous Arab and Islamic countries.

The group reiterated that Gaza Strip is an integral part of the occupied Palestinian territory during the recent meetings.

Therefore, they rejected any attempts to displace the Palestinian people outside their homeland.

In a previous meeting, the group stressed the dire need for joint efforts in the Muslim and Arab world to put an immediate end to Gaza War, achieve the two-state solution and recognize the State of Palestine, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
