Saudi Arabia Condemns Israeli Escalation, Targeting of Medical Warehouse in Gaza
Saudi Arabia has strongly denounced the Israeli military escalation in the Gaza Strip and the attack on a warehouse belonging to the Saudi Center for Culture and Heritage, east of Rafah, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
In a statement, the Saudi Foreign Ministry expressed the Kingdom’s strong condemnation of the ongoing Israeli escalation in the occupied Palestinian territories, the targeting of unarmed civilians and their shelters, and killing dozens of Palestinians, including the targeting of the Dar Al-Arqam School in Gaza, which shelters displaced people.
Furthermore, Saudi Arabia condemned the Israeli targeting and destruction of a warehouse owned by the Saudi Center for Culture and Heritage in the Morag area east of Rafah. The facility contained medical supplies designated for patients and the injured in Gaza.

In the light of this, the Saudi Foreign Ministry noted that the absence of effective international accountability mechanisms has emboldened the Israeli authorities and forces to persist in their violations of the international law and international humanitarian law.
Moreover, the Saudi Foreign Ministry warned that the continued impunity exacerbates Israeli aggression and violations, threatening regional and international security and stability.
The Kingdom reiterated the urgent need for the UN Security Council members to assume their responsibilities in ending the tragedy endured by the brotherly Palestinian people, the statement added.
An Israeli airstrike hit Dar Al-Arqam School in Gaza City, killing at least 27 Palestinians, including women and children, BBC reported citing Gaza’s Health Ministry. The school was serving as a shelter for displaced families.
The Israeli military said in a statement it struck “a site which had been used by Hamas fighters to plan attacks against Israeli civilians and troops.”
