The third edition of the participation of “Gifted Arab” students in the 2024 summer enrichment programs concluded.
It was organized by the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity, also known as “Mawhiba.”

This year, 431 students participated in the Initiative from 16 Arab countries: Jordan, the Emirates, Bahrain, Tunisia, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Iraq, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Kuwait, Libya, Morocco, Mauritania and Yemen.
Students in the programs, implemented by experts in gifted education, received intensive materials in various sciences, including engineering, medical, biological, chemical and space sciences. Moreover, these programs equipped them with scientific skills and advanced experiences to enhance their personal abilities.
The King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity “Mawhiba,” in partnership with the Arab Organization for Education, Culture, and Science “ALECSO,” focuses on investing in young Arab talents. Moreover, this initiative nurtures and includes Arab talents and creative youth, providing them with a supportive environment.

Dr. Amal Al-Hazzaa, Secretary-General of “Mawhiba,” confirmed that this initiative supports long-term visions to discover and nurture talented individuals in the Arab world. It also aims to enhance responsibility towards scientific -based challenges and build future leaders from promising young Arab talents.

The Deputy Chairman of the Executive Committee of the “Arab Talents” initiative and the Director of Identification and Registration at Mawhiba, Fahd Al-Tamimi, clarified that 1,156 talented individuals from 17 countries have been discovered. Additionally, care has been provided to 839 male and female students.

In conclusion, the “Arab Talent Initiative” aims to discover talented individuals across the Arab world. It also transfers the Kingdom’s expertise and fosters a passion for science to build promising Arab leaders. Investing in nurturing talent is a key pillar of sustainable development in societies.
