The livestock farm complex in Jubail, developed by the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, is a flagship project designed to boost livestock production and strengthen the national economy.
Part of the Sustainable Agricultural Rural Development Program (Saudi Reef), the project has now exceeded 75% completion. It features livestock barns, feed storage units, worker housing, a veterinary clinic, sterilization facilities, and quarantine enclosures.

According to the ministry, the project plays a key role in advancing food self-sufficiency and increasing local meat production, aligning with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030. It is also expected to stimulate the local economy by generating sustainable employment opportunities, adopting advanced technologies such as artificial insemination and breed improvement, increasing breeders’ incomes, and promoting both economic and social sustainability.
Additionally, the project contributes to research and development in sheep and goat farming while reducing dependence on meat imports.
