The Riyadh Municipality has secured a three-year membership for the city of Riyadh in the International Society of City and Regional Planners, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
This significant milestone came during an official visit by a municipal delegation to ISOCARP’s headquarters in The Hague, aimed at reinforcing Riyadh’s presence within global urban planning networks.
The visit came in response to an official invitation from the organization.
During the visit, Assistant Undersecretary Eng. Saleh Al-Saif, head of the delegation, formally received the membership certificate.
The program featured a vast array of specialized sessions tackling urban transformation and the exchange of planning expertise.
It also boasted field visits to several pioneering urban development projects across the Netherlands.
These engagements offered an opportunity to leverage international best practices and foster knowledge exchange in the fields of urban planning and development.
