16 New Saudi Relief Trucks Cross Rafah Border into Gaza

The day before yesterday, 16 new Saudi relief trucks provided by the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Works crossed the Rafah border crossing, heading to the Gaza Strip, reported Saudi Press Agency.
These trucks were carrying food, medical, and shelter aid. They were part of the popular campaign to support the brotherly Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
It is noted that a total of 172 Saudi relief trucks have crossed the Rafah border crossing to date, all provided by the King Salman Center for Relief. They all carried various relief aids.
This is part of the historic and customary role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in standing with the Palestinian people during the different crises and hardships they endure.
Besides the relief trucks, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has sent total of 34 relief planes carrying basic humanitarian needs.
The planes usually fly from King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh to El-Arish International Airport in Egypt.
By sea, KSA has been extending a sea bridge made up of four ships carrying desperately-needed aid to Gaza.
Humanitarian Crisis in Gaza
The situation in Gaza is catastrophic. Continuous air strikes by Israel, in response to attacks from Hamas, have led to widespread destruction and a humanitarian crisis.
The health system is overwhelmed, with hospitals operating at minimal capacity, and essential services like water and electricity disrupted.
More than one million people are displaced, seeking refuge in overcrowded shelters. The UN described the situation as dire, necessitating urgent humanitarian assistance.
