The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) distributed 200 cartons of dates to the most needy and displaced families in the White Nile State of the Republic of Sudan.
Being part of the project to distribute date aid in the Republic of Sudan, it benefited 891 individuals, reported Saudi Press Agency.
This project is part of the humanitarian and relief projects provided by the Kingdom through its humanitarian arm, (KSrelief), to many needy and affected countries and peoples.
Earlier this month, KSrelief distributed 1,162 cartons of dates to the most needy and displaced families in Al-Jazeera State in Sudan. 5,672 individuals benefited from them.
Saudi Arabia Mental Health Relief Efforts
Due to the growing public awareness of mental health’s importance, Saudi Arabia has been exerting effort in this regard.
In Zaatari camp for Syrian refugees, KSrelief organized an event marking World Mental Health Day. The event included various activities and information sessions on protecting vulnerable groups, especially children.
KSrelief Health Relief Efforts
War-torn Yemen has many people who have lost limbs. Helping them to get back on track and lead a normal life, Saudi Arabia established a prosthetics center there.The centre provided services like the manufacturing, fitting, delivery and maintenance of prosthetic limbs as well as physical therapy. It provided 1371 services to 374 beneficiaries.
Recently, KSrelief signed a cooperation agreement with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. The agreement aims to support the Emergency and Rescue Unit and emergency departments in Somali hospitals. 15 fully equipped ambulances were sent to the Somali Ministry of Health.
