From vision to reality, Riyadh Air is strengthening its presence on the global stage.
With ambitious objectives to connect travelers to more than 100 destinations by the decade’s end, the Saudi carrier has reinforced its future fleet with new orders for 34 additional widebody aircraft from Boeing and Airbus.
Expanding the Network
The expansion is based on Riyadh Air’s 2023 agreement with Boeing, exercising options for 28 Dreamliners, 20 of those aircraft have been upgraded to the larger 787‑10 variant.
This move underscores the carrier’s determination to broaden its long-haul footprint while accelerating Saudi Arabia’s ambition to become a globally connected aviation hub.
Since June, the carrier has continued to expand its routes, while its latest aircraft commitments mark another remarkable milestone in its push to transform Saudi Arabia into a prestigious aviation hub.
A Cornerstone of Vision 2030
While its network is still taking shape, Riyadh Air’s horizons go far beyond its current fleet. With six Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners already in service and flights to six destinations, reflecting a pace of expansion that is both measured and ambitious.
With the unwavering support of Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), Riyadh Air represents a cornerstone in the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 strategy to diversify its economy and reduce oil dependency.
