Umrah application reaches 20 million beneficiaries
The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah revealed that the total number of beneficiaries of the Umrah application had reached more than 20 million.
Permits include:
- Praying in the Grand Mosque
- Performing Umrah
- Visiting the Prophet’s Mosque
- Praying in the Holy Raudah
The number of beneficiaries of Enaya Centers services in Mecca and Al-Madinah, concerned with serving pilgrims coming from outside Saudi Arabia, has reached more than 30,000.
The Ministry will also provide a safe transportation service by preparing four sites to transport pilgrims to and from the Holy Mosque, totalizing more than 120,000 operational trips via 2500 buses.
Safe Umrah
The Ministry has developed a safe Umrah model based on modern technology and digitization of procedures to ensure a distinguished service for the pilgrims.
The third sector has also contributed more than 18,000 hours of volunteer work and provides through six different volunteer programs.
Comfort and safety
Hisham Saeed, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah Services, explained that the safe Umrah model aims to preserve people’s health and safety.
Second, it will improve services provided to pilgrims, employ the latest technologies, and meet needs.
Regarding the safe Umrah model, he indicated that the Umrah application verifies the applicant’s health status through electronic integration with the Tawakulna application, developed by the Saudi Authority for Data and Artificial Intelligence.
He stated that there is permanent cooperation between the ministries and all relevant authorities.
