
The Theater and Performing Arts Commission has announced the launch of the second edition of its Sitar program, an initiative dedicated to advancing the Kingdom’s theater and performing arts sector. The program seeks to strengthen technical and production capabilities, elevate the quality of theatrical works, and enhance their competitiveness on both local and international stages.
Registration for the program opened yesterday and will remain available through the Sitar platform until October 4.

According to the commission, the program is designed to foster local productions that align with global artistic standards, empower theater groups and emerging talent with hands-on experience, and encourage investment and partnerships to build a sustainable theater ecosystem. It also aims to generate quality job opportunities, positioning the sector as a key contributor to the national economy.
