Hevolution Foundation, a charitable organization, successfully concluded the first edition of the ‘Global Summit for Healthy Longevity’, a central theme and keyword for the event, held under the sub-theme “Together We Thrive” on November 29 and 30, 2023, in Riyadh.
Major Grant Announcements at Global Summit for Healthy Longevity
During the ‘Global Summit for Healthy Longevity’, the Hevolution Foundation announced grants totaling $40 million to support research in human healthy longevity. This significant funding, includes $21 million for a collaboration with the Buck Institute for Research on Aging.
It aimed at advancing aging-related therapeutic interventions, $16 million to the American Federation for Aging Research to expand the “New Investigator in the Biology of Aging and Advanced Gerontology” program. $5 million to assist aging researchers in Saudi Arabia and the Arab Gulf states.
Extension of Hevolution Foundation’s Initiatives
The initiatives at the ‘Global Summit for Healthy Longevity’ are an extension of the Hevolution Foundation’s previous announcement of launching the “X Prize for Healthy Longevity,” the largest of its kind in the world, as a sole funder with a value of $40 million, and initiating an innovative global partnership with a core funding of $10 million.
