Snow falling decorates Turaif Governorate

After the snow fell today (Monday), the Turaif Governorate, which is part of the Northern Borders region, was blanketed in white.

Despite the low temperatures and the recorded presence of the “white visitor,” it spurred people to go out and enjoy the lovely surroundings.

Farhan Al-Anazi, the Tabuk region’s head of meteorology, said: “We recorded temperatures below zero degrees Celsius on Turaif, with forecasts of snowfall continuing in northern Saudi Arabia till tomorrow morning (Tuesday), and we urge everyone to be cautious.”

According to meteorologist Aqeel Al-Aqeel, snow fell today in Saudi Arabia’s northern regions: Al-Jawf, the northern border, and the Tabuk region’s heights.

Snow is predicted to continue to fall in these places, notably in the Tabuk region’s highlands and southern areas, according to the National Center of Meteorology’s Department of Weather and Climate Forecasts.

“It is projected that the temperature decrease will intensify tomorrow, with lowest temperatures falling below zero degrees Celsius across much of the northern and northwest regions,” he added.

maximum temperatures may reach less than 10 degrees Celsius in some areas in northern Saudi Arabia.
