King Salman grants SAR 2.2 billion in aid to Saudi social security beneficiaries

The Minister of Information in charge, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, said that Saudi Cabinet dealt with several reports on the developments of events and developments in the situation and their course in various arenas.

The King renewed the Kingdom’s condemnation of the terrorist attack that targeted Abu Dhabi International Airport and affirmed the support of the United Arab Emirates.

He indicated that the Council issued the following decisions:

First: Authorizing the Minister of Sports – or his representative – to discuss with the British side a draft agreement for cooperation in the field of sports between the Ministry of Sports in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of State for Digitization, Culture, Media and Sports in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

Second: Authorizing the Minister of Interior – or his representative – and the Minister of Justice – or his representative – to sign the draft Arab agreement to prevent and combat human cloning, and then submit the final signed copy, to complete the legal procedures.

Third: Approval of the indicative form of a cooperation agreement for the exchange and protection of personal data and information for security purposes between the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the governments of the countries in the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf.

 It was also approved that the Minister of Interior – or his representative – negotiate with the competent authorities in the countries of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, regarding a draft cooperation agreement for the exchange of personal data and information for security purposes and their protection between the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the governments of countries in the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf.

Fourth: To authorize the Minister of Tourism – or his representative – to negotiate with the Seychelles side regarding a draft memorandum of understanding in the field of tourism between the Ministry of Tourism in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Tourism of the Republic of Seychelles, to sign it, and then upload the final signed copy, to complete the legal procedures.

Fifth: Approval of a memorandum of understanding in the field of tourism between the Ministry of Tourism in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife in the Republic of Kenya.

Sixth: Authorizing the Minister of Finance, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority – or his representative – to sign a draft agreement between the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Government of Japan on cooperation and mutual assistance in customs matters, and then submit the final signed copy, to complete the regulatory procedures.

Seventh: Approval of a memorandum of cooperation between the General Civil Aviation Authority in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the General Civil Aviation Authority in the United Arab Emirates in the field of civil aviation security.

Eighth: Amending paragraphs (1) and (3) of Article (5) of the organization of the National Center for Mental Health Promotion issued by Cabinet Resolution No. (685) dated 11/27/1440 AH, related to the center’s board of directors.

Ninth: Setting the 10th of February every year as a day for the Arab tiger, to spread awareness of preserving the Arab tiger from extinction, and to introduce the objectives of the Arab Tiger Fund.
