The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) is currently ramping up preparations for the 2025 Hajj season through various training programs, according to Arab News.
As 2025 Hajj season approaches, SFDA is intensifying its efforts to boost preparedness and ensure a rapid response to health incidents.
To support preventive measures, SFDA is playing an active role at the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Center at Mina Hospital to foster coordination among relevant government entities.
As a hub for all related entities, the center bears responsibility for managing health crises and disasters during the Hajj season, as well as enhancing integration, readiness, and all efforts in handling health emergencies, reports, and risk management.
Crucially, the authority organized a workshop in Makkah titled “Food Poisoning.”
The workshop trained participants on rapid response mechanisms for suspected cases, emphasizing regulatory procedures. Furthermore, it underscored the importance of immediate reporting and coordination between the relevant authorities.
