As Saudi Arabia prepares to celebrate its 94th National Day, authorities have issued a warning. A fine of 5,000 riyals will be imposed on anyone disrupting public order or safety during the festivities.
Strict Measures to Ensure Public Safety
The Public Prosecution emphasized the importance of maintaining public decorum. The regulation aligns with existing laws that stress respecting public spaces and ensuring visitors’ safety.
The fine targets those whose actions or words in public places may cause harm, fear, or danger to others. Repeated offenses will result in doubled fines, reinforcing the government’s commitment to maintaining order.
Extended Holiday for National Day Celebrations
The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development announced that the National Day holiday will last two days—Sunday and Monday, September 22 and 23. This applies to public, private, and civil service sectors, following labor laws that guarantee paid holidays during national celebrations.
This year, the festivities will span four days, including the weekend of September 20 and 21.
