Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Meets His British Counterpart
Today, in the British capital, London, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs, held a meeting with the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs of the United Kingdom David Cameron, reported Saudi Press Agency.
Prince Khalid bin Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the United Kingdom attended the meeting.
During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to strengthen and develop them in various fields.
Moreover, they discussed developments in the Gaza Strip and its surroundings, and the importance of taking all necessary steps for a ceasefire and ensuring that the violence does not expand in order to fully protect the civilians.
During the meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed that it is important for the international community, especially the permanent members of the Security Council, including the United Kingdom, to shoulder their responsibilities towards intensifying efforts aimed at a ceasefire.
They also have to work to ensure that relief corridors are secured to deliver urgent humanitarian, food and medical aid to the Gaza Strip. He stressed the need to restore the path to a comprehensive and just peace that guarantees the Palestinian people’s access to their legitimate rights.
United Kingdom Foreign Minister held a working lunch in honor of the Foreign Minister and his accompanying delegation.
