Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Economy and Planning Faisal Al-Ibrahim met with International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva in Washington, D.C., to boost the bilateral cooperation, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Al-Ibrahim and Georgieva discussed the prospects for global and regional growth in light of the latest economic developments.
During the meeting, they highlighted the most significant developments and trends in the local economy of Saudi Arabia.
Furthermore, they shed light on the cooperative relations and ways to unleash new horizons of bilateral coordination between the Kingdom and the Fund.

The meeting saw the convergence of the Deputy Minister of Economy and Planning, Eng. Ammar Nagadi, and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy and Planning for Economic Policies and Planning, Rakan Al-Shaikh.
Moreover, it marked the participation of the General Supervisor of the General Administration of Economic Research and Insights at the Ministry, Dr. Yasser Fakih, and the General Supervisor of International Organizations at the Ministry, Hattan Munir bin Samman, and the CEO of the National Infrastructure Fund, Eng. Ismail Al-Saloum.
