The Chairman of the Shura Council, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Shaikh, met with his Counterpart in Bahrain’s Shura Council, Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh, in Manama, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The meeting is part of Al-Shaikh’s official visit to Bahrain with a significant delegation from the council.
At the beginning of the meeting, Al-Saleh warmly welcomed Al-Shaikh and his accompanying delegation commending Saudi Arabia’s pivotal role in maintaining peace and security in the region.
Furthermore, he stressed that the Saudi Arabia is in fact the backbone of the region with its promising initiatives and positive instances in boosting the Arab and national security throughout the region.
In the same context, Al-Shaikh highlighted the success and progress of the Saudi-Bahraini relations in various fields, underscoring the successful role of both Shura Councils in strengthening the bilateral relations.
The participants also reviewed the cooperative relations between both councils and held discussions over the ways and mechanisms that can bolster the bilateral coordination.
They also discussed ways to activate the parliamentary friendship committees.
Moreover, the attendees delved into various issues of mutual concern.
The meeting saw the convergence of members of the Council Major General Dr. Abdulrahman bin Sunhat Al-Harbi, Dr. Abdullah bin Saad Al-Waqdani, Dr. Fares bin Abdullah Al-Usaimi, and the Chargé d’Affaires of the Kingdom’s Embassy in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Dr. Ahmed Al-Dalbahi.
It also highlighted the presence of various senior officials from the Bahraini side including the First Deputy Chairman of the Shura Council, Jamal Mohammed Fakhro, and a number of members of the Bureau of the Bahraini Shura Council.
