Saudi Health Minister sponsors the “Emergency Medicine Conference”
Under the patronage of His Excellency the Saudi Minister of Health, Mr. Fahd bin Abdulrahman Al-Jalajel, the Saudi Society of Emergency Medicine will hold its seventh international scientific conference in the city of Riyadh, from 12-16 February.
Dr. Jamil Abu Al-Enein, Chairman of the Society’s Board of Directors, explained that the conference includes a set of distinguished and specialized scientific activities aimed at developing the specialty of emergency medicine in the Kingdom.
Dr. Rola Al-Rabbah, the head of the scientific committee of the conference, stated that the conference includes 12 workshops in the fields of clinical simulation of injuries and accidents, artificial respiration, emergency ultrasound, medical training skills, medical transfer for ambulance service providers, pediatric resuscitation, and others for emergency department nurses, in addition to basic and advanced ECG reading.
She stated that the conference includes 30 scientific sessions on developments in the treatment and diagnosis of emergency diseases, management and development of the quality of medical services, critical medical care, injuries and accidents, diagnosis using radiology, cardiac emergencies, toxicology, pediatric emergency, and ambulance services.
The conference includes discussion sessions on the news in emergency medicine research and the use of modern technology in emergency medicine and competition for research posters in the field of emergency medicine, with the attendance of 1,000 health practitioners, and 100 international and local speakers from North America and the Arabian Gulf, as well as a 5-kilometer running race.
