Saudi Arabia plans to export potatoes abroad
The Saudi Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture is considering allowing part of the processed potato to be exported.
Potato exports will be limited to manufacturers who identify their full demands for industrial potatoes, the amounts that will be offered within the Kingdom, and the numbers that will be exported.
The regulations required that the farm be established, registered with the Ministry, and have a legitimate agricultural record, as well as that the farm be based on the numbers to be manufactured.
new wells will not be permitted in the contracted sites, and the ministry will use available means to check the planted areas as well as the type and quantity of the product.
A one-year license will be awarded if the entire grown area of potatoes is proportional to the total need for industrial potatoes.
