This contract will supply King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam with 80 electric trucks, the largest single order of its kind from SANY.

This acquisition also makes King Abdulaziz Port the largest port in the Middle East with such a fleet. The contract is part of commercial support agreements between the authority and the Saudi International Ports Company, valued at 7 billion riyals.

The contract was signed by Edward Tah, CEO of Saudi International Ports Company, and Jeff Fu, Chairman of Sany Heavy Marine Industries. This event took place at the “Transport and Logistics Exhibition China 2024”. Moreover, this is a part of the program to develop the national industry, logistics services and logistics system.

Electric trucks play a major role in preserving environmental safety in ports by producing zero exhaust emissions. This will reduce air pollution and greenhouse gases. They are also more energy-efficient, save on operating and maintenance costs, and are considered more sustainable.
