Both sides stressed and agreed on the need to stop these hostile acts and support efforts to reach a political solution to end the crisis in Yemen.
The senior US official reiterated the US’s standing commitment with Saudi Arabia in fighting aggressive acts and strengthening the Kingdom’s defense capabilities.
Prince Faisal bin Farhan and his counterpart further discussed strategic relations and developments in all fields.
The Iran-backed Houthis’ drone attack of the Abha airport caused one civilian aircraft to catch fire. No one was reported killed or injured in the attack.
The attack received international condemnation, with the US State Department particularly urging the Houthis to halt ‘aggressive acts.’
