Saudi FM Reviews Strategic Ties with US State Sec., National Security Advisor

The Saudi Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, reviewed the strategic relations between Saudi Arabia and the US with the US Secretary of State and National Security Advisor during an official visit to Washington.

On Wednesday, the Saudi Foreign Minister met with the US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, at the State Department in Washington, according to the Saudi Foreign Ministry.

During their meeting, both diplomats reviewed the Saudi-US strategic relations and explored ways to further strengthen them across various fields.

Moreover, they discussed ways to bolster coordination and joint action on regional and international issues of common concern, particularly the developments in Gaza, Sudan, Yemen, and the Russia-Ukraine crisis.

The two officials exchanged views regarding these issues, exploring efforts made toward addressing them and achieve international peace and security.

The meeting saw the attendance of the Saudi Ambassador to the US, Princess Reema Bandar Al Saud; the Advisor to the Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Prince Musab bin Mohammed Al Farhan; and the Advisor to the Foreign Minister, Mohammed Alyahya.

Also on Wednesday, Prince Faisal bin Farhan met with the US National Security Advisor, Mike Waltz, at the White House, the Saudi Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

During their meeting, the two officials the strategic relations between Saudi Arabia and the US and explored opportunities for enhancing joint cooperation. They also discussed several issues of mutual concern.

The Saudi Ambassador to the US, Princess Reema Bandar Al Saud, attended the meeting, alongside the Advisor to the Foreign Minister for Political Affairs, Prince Musab bin Mohammed Al Farhan.

The US President, Donald Trump, announced that he will visit Saudi Arabia in May, in his first foreign trip in his second term. The trip will also include stops at the UAE and Qatar.
