In a recent phone call, Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan spoke with Hussein Al-Sheikh, the newly appointed Vice President of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO).

On Tuesday, the Saudi Cabinet emphasized that regional security depends on accelerating efforts to resolve the Palestinian question. The Cabinet stressed the importance of adhering to international legitimacy resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative, including the establishment of a Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
Condemnation of Israeli Actions in Gaza
Additionally, in a separate statement before the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The Hague, Saudi Arabia’s representative, Ambassador Mohammed Al-Nasser, denounced Israel’s actions in Gaza. Al-Nasser highlighted the need for the court’s opinion to compel Tel Aviv to allow humanitarian aid into the territory. He emphasized that Israeli forces have created inhumane conditions in Gaza, killed over 200 UNRWA staff, and targeted the agency’s offices and warehouses.
