Saudi Fashion Authority Exhibition Opens Window to Globalization

 Burak Cakmak, CEO of the Saudi Fashion Authority, aims to empower the local and global fashion sector by creating opportunities for Saudi brands to access retail markets domestically and internationally.

Exhibition Goals

Cakmak emphasized this during the opening of “Formation” exhibition featuring 100 Saudi brands in Riyadh. He also pointed that it’s an ideal way to market Saudi brands locally and globally, especially during Ramadan.

Training Program

The “100 Saudi Brands” training program associated with the exhibition aims to develop and empower Saudi fashion designers to establish successful Saudi brands globally. Additionally, Cakmak hinted at ongoing initiatives like participation in Paris Fashion Week and Riyadh Fashion Week, expressing optimism about future achievements.

Positive Feedback

The decision to hold a second “Formation” exhibition stems from the success of the first, attracting 22,000 visitors and garnering positive feedback from Saudi participants and international brands. The Fashion Authority implements various programs catering to individuals starting their careers in fashion. Moreover, the “Formation” has been showcasing brands spanning decades alongside emerging Saudi brands.

Educational Opportunities

Educational programs include short courses, international and local training, partnerships with prestigious institutions like Institut Français de la Mode. The Fashion Authority utilizes social media to advertise these programs. These programs aim to discover new talents capable of achieving national milestones in fashion.

Exhibition Details

“Formation” at Riyadh Front Expo is witnessing participation from over 160 Saudi designers from the “100 Saudi Brands” program, alongside designers from Arab and international countries, facilitating exchange of experiences.

Showcasing Local Talent

Finally, the four-day exhibition will showcase the latest collections in ready-to-wear fashion, accessories, jewelry, and fragrances to fashion experts, influencers and shoppers.
