Saudi Education Ministry allocates one billion riyals to clean schools

After about a year and a half of the Corona pandemic, schools in Saudi Arabia began dusting off their study seats, in preparation for the return of attendance at the beginning of the new school year for the intermediate and secondary levels.

The government stressed the need to vaccinate all students and school workers with two doses of the Corona vaccine, and to implement all precautionary measures inside schools.

The Ministry of Education in Saudi Arabia has announced the allocation of more than one billion and 147 million riyals for annual maintenance

It also signed cleaning contracts in schools in preparation for the return of attendance at the beginning of the new academic year.

School equipment and maintenance

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education for Projects and Maintenance, Eng. Abdul Rahman Al-Shaya, explained that all education departments in the regions and governorates of Saudi Arabia are working to secure 78,607 air conditioners.

The ministry has supported the departments’ warehouses with more than 65,000 air conditioners, and the rest of the devices are being secured in the coming days, as well as 3,600 water coolers.
