The meeting brought together government officials and private-sector leaders from both nations.

The roundtable focused on deepening trade and investment ties between Saudi Arabia and the Netherlands, highlighting investment opportunities and incentives in the Kingdom. Participants also reviewed potential areas of cooperation related to Saudi Arabia’s hosting of the FIFA World Cup 2034 and examined the regulatory environment shaping trade and investment in the Saudi market.

Attendees included representatives from the Ministries of Energy, Investment, Sport, and Transport and Logistic Services, as well as the World Cup 2034 Hosting Higher Authority, the Saudi Ports Authority, and senior executives from Dutch companies.

Moreover, bilateral trade between the two countries reached nearly $36 billion from 2020 to 2024, growing at a rate of 3.73%. Major Saudi exports to the Netherlands included organic chemicals and animal or vegetable fats and oils, while Dutch exports to Saudi Arabia were led by metal products, boilers, machinery, appliances, and mechanical tools.
