Saudi Minister of Industry Discusses Cooperation with Dutch Companies

The Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Ibrahim AlKhorayef visited a number of the most prominent industrial companies in Netherlands to enhance cooperation, reported Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

He held meetings with the companies’ leaders to discuss ways to develop partnerships between Saudi Arabia and the Netherlands in various industrial activities, reported Saudi Press Agency.

AlKhorayef visited Philips Company for medical equipment in the Dutch city of Eindhoven and met Edwin Paalvast, Executive Board Member and Chief of International Markets. They discussed ways to enhance cooperation in manufacturing medical equipment and localizing this vital industry in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

AlKhorayef also visited FrieslandCampina, a leading dairy company, and discussed the possibility of establishing a research and development center in the Kingdom to improve the quality of local production and food processing.

During his visit to Upfield, the Saudi minister discussed with the company’s CEO David Haines  enhancing cooperation, exchanging experiences in consumer products and the plant-based food industry, and contributing to achieving the goals of food security and environmental sustainability.

The minister’s visit to Netherlands is part of the Kingdom’s endeavor to enhance the role of the industrial and mining sectors in the map of the national economy, advance growth paths between the two countries in a number of promising industries and attract quality investments.
