Saudi Deputy Foreign Min. Meets Turkey Ambassador in Riyadh
Today, Saudi Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Engineer Walid bin Abdulkarim Al-Khereiji, met the Ambassador of of Turkey to the Kingdom, Fatih Ulusoy in Riyadh.
During the meeting, Deputy Foreign Minister appreciated good efforts made by the ambassador in strengthening cooperation relations between both countries, and he wished him continued success.
Saudi -Turkey Relations
Recently, in 2024, both countries mended ties. The global and regional changes have encouraged this rapprochement. As a result of economic needs, geopolitical shifts, both countries had no choice except figuring out means to empower cooperation.
This change is reflective of the dynamic nature of international relations where economic and strategic interests often pave the way for new alliances and partnerships.

Both nations have strong incentives for normalizing relations. Turkey has mended ties with Saudi Arabia as a way to alleviate its deep economic troubles, including soaring inflation and a slumping lira.
