Saudi Culinary Art: A Blend of Tradition and Modernity

Saudi Arabia, with its diverse and unique culinary traditions, has always been a rich tapestry of flavors and culinary techniques. The establishment of the Culinary Arts Commission in February 2020 marked a significant milestone towards recognizing and promoting Saudi culinary art both locally and globally.

The commission aims to develop the sector by introducing Saudi dishes to the world, celebrating the nation’s culinary heritage, and nurturing talent in this domain.

InFlavour Expo: A Gateway to Global Culinary Landscape

The InFlavour Expo serves as a significant avenue for culinary experts, enthusiasts, and businesses to converge, interact, and explore the latest trends in the world of culinary arts.

This year, the Saudi Culinary Arts Commission will unveil its innovative strategy for the culinary arts sector, introducing a business incubator for Kawn, a program designed to support budding businesses and startups through mentorship and workshops.

This initiative aims to enable these entities to compete effectively in the market, with an incubation period spanning four to six months.

Moreover, the commission will introduce the Abde’a cultural license platform to encourage the private sector’s involvement in cultural events and initiatives.

The expo is expected to be a vibrant space, reflecting the commission’s commitment towards empowering Saudi chefs, facilitating interactions with world-renowned culinary experts, and showcasing the traditional recipes of Saudi cuisine.

The event is also set to feature over 200 speakers, 600 exhibitors, and welcome over 200 international investors and venture capitalists specializing in the food and hospitality sector, making it a significant event in the global culinary calendar.

The InFlavour Expo in Riyadh is more than just a culinary exhibition; it’s a statement of Saudi Arabia’s rich culinary tradition and its modern-day aspirations in the global culinary landscape under the umbrella of Saudi Culinary Art.

Through such initiatives, the Kingdom is not only preserving its culinary heritage but is also creating avenues for the new generation of chefs and culinary entrepreneurs to interact with global experts and take Saudi Culinary Art to new horizons.
