Saudi Civil Aviation Authority issues more than 3,000 airworthiness licenses in 2021
In order to fulfil the greatest safety standards in the Kingdom’s airspace, the Saudi Civil Aviation Authority said that it will grant over 3,000 airworthiness certificates in 2021.
In a statement, it said the airworthiness licence covered various categories, including:
Credits for Engineering
Operation for Profit
Stations for aircraft maintenance
Requests for aircraft registration
Examining the technical licence
Inspectors’ reports are available.
Saudi Civil Aviation Authority stated that the “airworthiness inspectors and engineers” work mechanism ensures aircraft model acceptance, as well as design revisions and major repairs.
It also encompasses the manufacture of aircraft parts and their technical standards, as well as the examination of aircraft in order to issue or renew airworthiness certificates.
The Saudi Civil Aviation stated that aircraft noise, examination and certification of aircraft maintenance programmes, as well as licencing air operators, are all part of the process for obtaining a licence certificate.
It also entailed giving certificates to aircraft maintenance facilities and conducting inspection visits to ensure that the regulations and work procedures manuals were being followed.
Following agreement among member states, the Kingdom was recently elected head of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization’s Aviation Security Committee. The Kingdom will continue to lead the committee for the second time.
