Saudi Cabinet calls for international resolutions against Houthi violations in Yemen

The Saudi Cabinet renewed Riyadh’s condemnation of the terrorist Houthi elements’ storming of the US embassy in Sana’a.

The Saudi Cabinet stressed the importance of the international community standing firm against these violations, and the need to implement international resolutions to reach a political solution that guarantees security and stability in Yemen.
Dr Issam bin Saad bin Saeed, Minister of State, Member of the Cabinet and Acting Minister of Information, said – in a statement reported by the Saudi Press Agency – that the Council also expressed during its meeting the aspiration that the outcomes of the extraordinary meeting of the Ministerial Council of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to discuss the humanitarian situation in Afghanistan, which Saudi Arabia called for.
The Kingdom seeks to find appropriate mechanisms and ways to provide humanitarian assistance to the Afghan people.
The Council expressed its satisfaction with the gradual recovery witnessed by the Kingdom’s economy since the middle of last year and this year.
The Saudi Cabinet also highlighted the recording of positive growth rates in its various sectors, thanks to the realistic and responsible policies and measures taken by the state in dealing with the Coronavirus pandemic. These policies led to reducing the pandemic’s humanitarian, financial and economic repercussions.
