Saudi Aramco FIFA’s Worldwide Partner till 2027

Saudi Aramco announced today a four year worldwide partnership deal with the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), reported Reuters.

The deal will run through to the end of 2027 and Aramco will be the global partner in all FIFA’s major sporting events, including the World Cup 2026 and the Women’s World Cup 2027.

The partnership crystalizes the mutual commitment of both Aramco and FIFA to leverage the power of football to create impactful and inspirational social initiatives around the world.

“We are proud to begin a wonderful journey with FIFA, through which we aim to contribute to football development and harness the power of sport to make a positive impact around the world,” Aramco President and CEO Amin Bin Hassan Al-Nasser expressed.

Al-Nasser added that the partnership aligns with Aramco’s investment in the Saudi Al-Qadisiyah Football Club, Aramco Saudi Ladies International, and Formula 1 Program in schools.

“This partnership will assist FIFA to successfully deliver its flagship tournaments… enable us to provide enhanced support to our 211 FIFA member associations across the globe,” FIFA president Gianni Infantino said in the statement.

Infantino pointed out that FIFA looks forward to cooperating with Aramco in several initiatives over the coming years, praising its proven track record in supporting the global events.

Enhancing sport became one of the ambitious goals of Saudi Vision 2030, aiming at diversifying the Kingdom’s economy away from oil and push itself into international and political prominence. Therefore, Saudi Arabia has been pouring billions into sports worldwide since 2016, such as golf, football, motorsports and martial arts.
