The Al-Ahsa Processed Dates Marketing Festival 2022, which is currently organized by the Al-Ahsa Municipality in strategic partnership with the Eastern Region Development Authority and the Al-Ahsa Chamber in the creative Al-Ahsa Castle, witnessed a wide turnout of visitors with its activities in all its various corners.
In the photography exhibition, successful Saudi photographic experiences and projects were presented. The “Old Al-Ahsa” exhibition, which was launched 10 years ago, includes 3,000 old photos of Al-Ahsa, including rare photos, heritage photos, videos, and information on one site, in addition to making photos available “for free”.
Visitors are attracted to various date products, and in the corner of Al-Ahsa Municipality, visitors learned about the “My City is My Responsibility” initiative, which aims to maintain the cleanliness of Al-Ahsa.
The festival has a corner of the Al-Ahsa Cancer Control Charitable Society “Tawamala” in cooperation with the Ministry of Health, within the seventh Gulf Cancer Awareness Week to raise awareness among citizens and residents and motivate them to fight obesity, improve lifestyle and practice regular physical activity, and educate visitors about breast and colon cancer, in addition to the presence of the vehicle designated for early detection of breast cancer, and the presentation of the services provided by the association.
The “Heritage Freej” at the castle presented its visitors with the applied art of traditional carving on wood and metal, the manufacture of heritage doors, windows, and models mixed between heritage and modernity, burning on wood, drawing lead, charcoal and craftsmen, and metal shaping of various sizes.
