Saudi Arabia and Türkiye on Wednesday held the second round of political consultations in Ankara, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The talks took place between the Saudi Foreign Ministry and the Turkish Foreign Ministry, at the latter’s headquarters in Ankara.
The Saudi Deputy Foreign Minister, Waleed bin Abdulkarim Al-Khuraiji, led the Kingdom’s delegation at the consultations, while the Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister, Nuh Yılmaz, represented the Turkish side.
During the second round of the Saudi-Turkish political consultations, both sides explored ways to strengthen joint cooperation across various fields. They also discussed the latest regional and international developments and efforts made towards addressing them.
The Saudi Deputy Foreign Minister is on an official visit to Türkiye. On Wednesday, he met with the Turkish Foreign Minister, Hakan Fidan, in Ankara. Both officials reviewed bilateral relations and discussed the latest developments in the region.
Furthermore, Al-Khuraiji met with the Turkish Vice President, Cevdet Yılmaz. During their meeting, both officials explored the relations between Saudi Arabia and Türkiye, and ways to further enhance and develop them. They also discussed topics of mutual interest.
The Saudi Ambassador to Türkiye, Fahad bin Assaad Abualnasr, attended the Saudi-Turkish political consultations and Al-Khuraiji’s meetings with the two Turkish officials, according to SPA.
