Saudi Arabia: Turkey’s interference in Libya is a violation of Security Council resolutions
The Saudi cabinet expressed on Tuesday its rejection and condemnation of the military escalation and Turkish interference in the Libya, considering it as a violation of international principles, covenants and Security Council resolutions issued on Libya.
This came during a session chaired by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz today at Al Yamamah Palace, the Saudi Press Agency ‘SPA’ reported.
On the Iraqi issue, the Saudi Cabinet said that it is necessary for international community to assume its responsibilities and take vital measures to ensure the security and stability of the region.
The Saudi Cabinet reaffirmed the Kingdom’s call for the importance of working to achieve security and stability in the region and stave off all issues that might lead to aggravating the situation, as a result of the escalation of tensions and terrorist acts.
It affirmed the importance of the role of the “Council of Arab and African States bordering the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden” in promoting ways of cooperation in the political, economic and security fields between those countries.
Moreover, the Cabinet agreed to authorize the Bank of China Limited to open a branch in the Kingdom, and authorize the Minister of Finance to decide any subsequent request to open other branches of the bank.
It also agreed to organize the complex of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz for the Prophet’s noble hadith.
