Saudi Arabia Showcases Islamic Mosques at Jakarta’s Jusoor Exhibition

Saudi Arabia’s pavilion at the Jusoor Exhibition in Jakarta, Indonesia, has captured the attention of several visitors by showcasing the historic mosques in Makkah and Madinah, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

The pavilion featured a collection of illustrated panels and documented information on the mosques that played a central role in the Islamic history, as follows:

  • Quba Mosque: The first mosque established in Islam
  • Al-Qiblatain Mosque: Allah sent the command to change the qibla (direction of prayer) to Prophet Muhammad in this mosque.
  • Al-Jum’ah Mosque: It marked the first Friday prayer of the Prophet.
  • Other historically significant mosques such as the Mosque of Miqat (Dhu al-Hulayfah)

Through a visually engaging and informative manner, the exhibition displayed rare photographs and detailed architectural renderings that focused on the spiritual significance of these sacred sites.

Therefore, the event provided visitors with a valuable platform to deeply understand the profound architectural value of these mosques and the close connection between Muslims and the history and legacy of their Prophet.

Organized by Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Islamic Affairs in Jakarta, the exhibition seeks to boost Islamic values and highlights the Kingdom’s pioneering role in preserving and documenting historic mosques.
