Saudi Arabia’s commitment extends beyond air support. Land convoys have crossed into Gaza, providing further relief to the estimated 1.7 million people displaced by conflict and bombardment.
Additionally, KSRelief and the World Health Organisation (WHO) have collaborated on a $10 million project to ensure the availability of life-saving medical supplies and equipment in Gaza.
Broader International, Domestic Support Internationally
Saudi Arabia, via KSRelief’s 24th mission, actively supports the World Food Programme and UNRWA in Palestinian territories. Additionally, on the domestic front, a major fundraising campaign was initiated.
This effort successfully received significant donations from prominent leaders, notably King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
Background: Gaza, an area grappling with significant humanitarian challenges, has recently benefitted from substantial aid from Saudi Arabia. The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSRelief) has played a pivotal role in these humanitarian efforts.
These efforts reflect a comprehensive approach by Saudi Arabia, using air, land, and sea routes to provide much-needed relief to Gaza. The collaboration with international organizations highlights the global dimension of the humanitarian support for Gaza.
