Saudi Arabia Participates in 2024 United Nations High-Level Political Forum

Saudi Arabia is participating in the 2024 United Nations High-Level Political Forum from July 8 to 18, 2024 in New York City, reported Saudi Press Agency.

The United Nations High-Level Political Forum brings together countries to review global efforts and progress made in achieving the sustainable development goals within the 2030 Agenda.

The Kingdom’s delegation is headed by the Minister of Economy and Planning, Faisal Alibrahim, and includes representatives from 13 entities from the government sector.

The Kingdom’s delegation includes the Ministry of Economy and Planning, the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development as well as other bodies and entities.

This year, the Kingdom, represented by the Royal Commission for the Development of Riyadh, will present the Voluntary Local Review Report, which provides an in-depth analysis of progress in achieving sustainable development goals at the local level in the Riyadh region.

The Kingdom’s participation confirms its commitment to integrating the principles of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 with the global framework for sustainable development goals, in addition to submitting voluntary local review reports this year.

The Kingdom presented voluntary national reviews at the High-Level Political Forum in 2018 and 2023, highlighting the significant progress in various areas of sustainable development.
