Saudi Arabia, Oman taking Iran’s nuclear and missile programmes seriously

Saudi Arabia and the Sultanate of Oman affirmed the principles of good neighbourliness and respect for choices after Sultan Haitham bin Tariq’s official visit to Saudi Arabia.

They urged cooperation and taking the Iranian nuclear and missile issue seriously and backed Saudi Arabia’s plan to end the Yemeni crisis and bring relief to the country.

Saudi Arabia and the Sultanate of Oman have agreed to share information to serve both countries’ interests and increase stability. The two sides discussed investment potential in sophisticated technology, innovation, and energy projects and the participation of Saudi firms in high-quality Omani initiatives. They decided to keep working together to help stabilize the situation.

The two countries agreed to strengthen their cooperation in the areas of food security and the environment and launch joint projects like energy and food security investments.

The nations reaffirmed their commitment to speed up their economic cooperation, and the relevant authorities were instructed to accelerate the opening of border crossings.

Therefore, they signed a memorandum of understanding to establish a Saudi-Omani Coordination Council and improve bilateral cooperation in many domains.

Both reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing cooperation in the areas of the environment and food security.

Saudi Arabia and Oman praised the efforts of the OPEC+ countries, led by Saudi Arabia and including the Sultanate of Oman, which resulted in oil market stability and balance despite weak demand caused by the Corona pandemic, which is still affecting a broad section of the world.  They decided to have the relevant authorities look into the possibility of mutual investment in sophisticated technologies, innovation, energy projects, renewable energy, industry, health, pharmaceutical industries, real estate development, and politics
